Shruti Gupta is a 21 year old who lives in Baroda. If Shruti could be described in one word, it would be ‘indispensable’. Shruti assists her father at his jewellery store with the sorting, packing, tagging and billing.
Shruti studied till grade 7 in a mainstream school and then continued her education till grade 10 through NIOS. She then did a 2 year certified vocational training course with Navkaushalya Academy. The Academy trains neuro-typical people but Shruti was an exception, owing to her dedication and commitment to learn. The Academy then offered Shruti the role of an assistant and facilitator. She worked there for 2 years but had to leave during the Covid lockdown.
Currently, she manages various functions at her dad’s shop, along with handling customers also. At home, she helps her mom with all the chores and she’s especially fond of cooking. Here is a video of her tea-making skills. https://youtu.be/gyXJS8S1_y8
Shruti is also pursuing Diploma in Kathak at the M.S.University in Baroda. Shruti speaks with great clarity and is extremely friendly. She has a younger brother and lives with her parents and grandparents. Her parents proudly say, “Her smile is our raison d’etre.”
