Help knows no Barrier
When Vedashya, son of Ms. Rithika and Mr. Amit Kumar tomar was diagnosed with a hole in his heart, they did not know whom to appeal to. Vedashya is a baby with Down syndrome and the doctors at the Jaypee Hospital, Noida wanted the surgery to be done ASAP.
He was not keeping good health for a long time and used to suffer from frequent bouts of cold, cough and fever. It was at this time that a Parish in Ireland – the Tullow Parish Church situated in the suburbs of Dublin – wanted to assist persons with Down syndrome in India. Ms. Joyce Buckley the energetic face of the church was willing to do all that was required to ensure that Vedashya became a healthy kid once again.
In 2016 they agreed to include Down Syndrome India to their Outreach Programme. They have raised and continue to raise funds to pay for surgery and medical assistance for persons with Down Syndrome in India.
It is such wonderful souls who work without boundaries that makes the world a better please. DSFI would like to thank Ms Buckley and her Parish for the support and assistance provided to Vedashya. We look forward to a great relationship with them.
