Another Feather in her Cap – The IRC Lifetime Achievement Award for Dr. Surekha Ramachandran
Yesterday was a proud moment for the Down syndrome Federation of India and all families of Down syndrome in the country. Dr. Surekha Ramachandran, President – Down Syndrome Federation of India was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedication towards helping persons with Down syndrome lead more dignified lives.
She won the IRC’s LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD for the year 2019 and received the honor at the hands of the Maharani of Mysore, Her Excellency Smt. Pramoda Devi Wadiyar. Dr. Ramachandran has contributed immensely to the field of Special Education and her work is considered the beacon of the light house for thousands of parents and children, guiding them toward a better tomorrow. This award is a testimony to her selfless dedication to the Cause of Down syndrome.
