Esha Ravindra Buch

Daughter of Ravindra and Achla Buch, Esha (31) has proved be an achiever and inspiration for the normal children as well as for those who are as special as she. Yes, Esha has Down syndrome. Her and her parent’s journey of her upbringing is nothing but motivational. Her all round development was her mother’s aim and father’s dream. Right from struggle to make her speech clearer in childhood to having her pass the 12th Standard of Gujarat Board, her parents made sure she learns everything that a normal child does along with the normal children. To keep her active, her mother got her involved in various activities like sports, dance and household chores. This also inculcated in her sense of time, discipline and responsibility. Esha’s brother Hirak and her extended family of sixty members always encouraged her in all her endeavours and they were her personal cheerleaders who would celebrate her every small or big achievements so as to boost her morale.

Esha has played many sports like volleyball, badminton, skating, athletics and Cricket. She has even been on the 2006 Special Olympics cricket team that played opposite Pakistan team in Mumbai’s police gymkhana. After which she played competitive cricket and badminton at domestic level in various cities of India. She participated in many dance competitions in Vadodara, city of her residence as well and has won accolades for the same. After completing her education, Esha started learning basic computer skills and also learnt how to surf internet. She also operates smart phones and all other smart appliances of the house. Professionally, Esha got a job at RIPL Technologies, a subsidiary of an American company, Rangam InfoTech in 2019. She proved to be major support system during her mother’s illness and took great care until she passed away last year. Today, she manages her household, takes care of social and familial obligations on every occasion, looks after her father and enjoys watching ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma’ reruns during the covid-19 lockdown.
