Beating that extra Chromosome 21
“Art is a colorful form of expression and when it comes to Ms. Karishma Kannan, her joyous persona is reflected in the bright colors and confidence that each of her paintings brings out. She recently had a solo exhibition titled “Flowing with the Flow”, organized at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Kumara Krupa Road, Bangalore, India, the paintings were a riot of colors and hues.
Karishma's work of art is a triumph in the face of overwhelming odds. Her every stroke of brush in creating these paintings is a great achievement and it means so much as it is hard won, for Karishma is an intellectually challenged girl born with a condition called Down's Syndrome.
