Free and Compulsory Education for all

The Government of India had in the year 2010 itself mandated for free and compulsory education for all children in the age group of 6-14. This included typical children as well as children with special needs. While some schools take it seriously, some still do not allow persons with special needs to be a part of the inclusive set up which the government is trying to provide. In this regard, the Government of India has, as a next step sent a circular to all the states and Union territories asking them to implement this across their state/union territory and provide the requisite information to the center.

This is another step that hopefully provides our children their right to education and move towards an inclusive society for us.
