Saideep
Unfinished- a long way to go
Saideep, a 13 year old Delhi based boy, is a warrior who has brought light to many lives, especially to his family’s. He has a grandmother, who is the backbone of the family, our strength; his father and myself and his younger brother who is 8 years younger than him and who he loves dearly.
He is a fighter who never gives up. He started from the time he was born; he was born under critical conditions, covered with thick meconium and required oxygen for 48 hours. But, after all the struggle, there he was in my lap, the most beautiful boy with the most beautiful smile.
Just like any other child, he went to playway and did his regular schooling till 6th standard and since COVID, he is being homeschooled. Love to play board games, cricket, football, cycling . Enjoy watching TV a lot, thanks to Tarak Mehta ka...., all tv reality show that he learned about different religions, cultures , food, music, dance and so on. These days fan of KBC, favourite singer is Neha Kakkar.
He is making the best use of lockdown by learning something new everyday. He folds his own clothes, tidies his room himself, does a bit of non-fire cooking and for leisure time, he enthusiastically learns dance from Shiamak’s victory online classes, modulating his drawing skills from expressive art online classes. It was 2018 when art was introduced to him and we recognized that this could lead to something, something that Saideep could really love.
2019 was the best year for him, Saideep participated in the Dreamsphere art exhibition in April, where he sold two art works, got selected among top fifteen candidates for “Art for Inclusion 2019”; and also exhibited an artwork in Deep Down Arts Exhibition in Mexico, Won second prize in dance competition, took part in fashion cum talent hunt show.
His journey so far proves that whatever ups and downs comes in your life, but, if you believe in your child and have right support system, you can’t go wrong. Throughout these years , his determination proves him to be a true warriorMy family and I are really excited for his journey ahead and we cannot wait for him to shine and spread his magic wherever he goes.
Advice for new parents; May our children see the world through their eyes, but the world see them through our eyes. So, always believe in your child, work with them, sure u will get the results. If you still have any doubts read, listen, watch Rekha ma’am and Nina ma’am “power house of positivity”.
