World Down Syndrome Day 2019
World Down syndrome Day (WDSD) is celebrated every year on 21st of March to signify the triplication(3) of the 21st Chromosome. Officially recognized by the United Nations since 2012, this day is a celebration of the lives and achievements of Persons with Down syndrome universally. The aim of this day is to create a global voice that advocates for the rights, inclusion and wellbeing of persons with Down syndrome.
Celebrations in India :
The Down syndrome Community in India is going Public. Events are being planned in Parks, Open grounds, stadiums, theatres etc where the Public can be reached out to, in order to spread awareness.
