We are delighted to share that Dr. Surekha Ramachandran, President of the Down Syndrome Federation of India (DSFI), was conferred with the prestigious Carnatic Annual Award at a special function held on 19th June 2025 in Chennai.

The Carnatic Annual Awards, launched in 2015, have grown into one of the largest and most widely recognized award platforms in Chennai, celebrating individuals who exemplify excellence in both their profession and community service. The selection process is highly competitive, recognizing only those with documented success and impact.

Dr. Ramachandran’s tireless work in the field of disability rights and her lifelong dedication to the Down syndrome community made her a deserving recipient of this honour. Her recognition is a proud moment not just for DSFI, but for every family and individual whose lives she continues to transform.
