Dr. Surekha Ramachandran Receives The Humanitarian Award 2025 at Sheraton Grand, Chennai
On February 17, 2025, the prestigious Humanitarian Awards ceremony was held at the Sheraton Grand in Chennai, where Dr. Surekha Ramachandran, President of the Down Syndrome Federation of India, was honoured with the Humanitarian Award for her groundbreaking work in destigmatising genetic disorders. This distinguished recognition celebrates her lifelong dedication to advocating for the rights and inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome.
The event, which was a grand celebration of social change and empowerment, saw the presence of several notable personalities, including renowned actress Gautami, acclaimed actor Kalidas Jayaram, and the celebrated newscaster Palki Sharma, who presented the awards to the distinguished honorees.
