Sanju Harold is a talented athlete with Down syndrome from Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He has represented India at international sporting events and has achieved remarkable success across powerlifting, yogasana, roller skating, and bowling.
International Achievements
IPF Special Olympics World Open Equipped Powerlifting Championship held at cluj-napoca, romania
Representing India in the Men’s 59 kg category, Sanju won four bronze medals at the IPF Special Olympics World Open Equipped Powerlifting Championship:
- Bronze Medal – Squat
- Bronze Medal – Bench Press
- Bronze Medal – Deadlift
- Bronze Medal – Overall (Total)
World Fitness Federation Asia Pacific Yogasana Championship held at Thailand
Sanju represented India at the World Fitness Federation Asia Pacific Yogasana Championship in Thailand, where he achieved:
- Gold Medal
- Special Recognition Award

Chennai, India
Sanju competed at the Asia Pacific Down Syndrome Games held in Chennai, India, where he won:
2 Gold Medals – Roller Skating

Roller Skating
Sanju has won a total of 9 national medals in Roller Skating, representing Kerala at various national-level competitions:
- RSFI National Roller Skating Championship, Bangalore – Bronze Medal
- Down Syndrome National Games, Hyderabad – 1 Gold Medal and 1 Bronze Medal in Skating
- Special Olympics Bharat National Championship, Haryana – 2 Silver Medals in Skating
- National Roller Skating Championship, Kochi – 2 Gold Medals
- RSFI National Roller Skating Championship, Visakhapatnam – 2 Bronze Medals
He won gold medals at the national powerlifting championship held at Karnataka and Ghazipur.
He also won a gold, silver, bronze medal at the SOB National Bowling championship held at Delhi
Apart from sports, he is active in dance and has participated in various competitions. He actively takes part in fashion shows too. He has also acted in a movie ‘Anchu Centum Seleenayum’ directed by Jexson Antony.
Upcoming Competition
Sanju is set to participate in the upcoming IPF International powerlifting championship at Turkey this November, IPF Asian Powerlifting championship to be held at Mongolia and World yogasana championship this December.
