No prize for guessing the topic she chose: Inclusion

This is the first time anyone has ever talked about this topic at her school, and it was truly a groundbreaking moment. Ira not only decided on the topic but also crafted the entire content of her speech. Her heartfelt words moved the audience, including some teachers, to tears.

For Ira, inclusion isn’t just a concept—it’s a way of life. She loves her older sister Dhriti deeply, and her understanding of inclusion comes naturally. This win is especially significant because it highlights the importance of speaking about inclusion openly, especially with children. When we talk about inclusion from a young age, we foster a generation that values diversity, empathy, and kindness.
