The Down Syndrome Federation of India, in collaboration with local partners, organized a Health cum Therapy Camp at SHRIDHA, D-32 HIG Colony, Behind Shopping Complex, Near Masjid Lane, Indore.

Specialists from diverse fields came together to support the well-being of self-advocates with Down syndrome. The camp featured consultations and screenings by:

  • Pediatrician
  • Endocrinologist
  • Ophthalmologist (Eye Specialist)
  • Dentist
  • Counsellor
  • Special Educator
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Neurologist

We are delighted to share that almost 50 self-advocates registered and were screened by the experts, receiving personalized guidance and recommendations.

A special highlight of the camp was the felicitation of *Mr. Ashish Pendse, star from the movie *Taare Zameen Par, by *Dr. Surekha Ramachandran, President of the Down Syndrome Federation of India. Dr. Surekha also *counselled all the parents, providing them with much-needed direction and clarity to help their self-advocates move ahead in life.

This impactful event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of *Dr. Shilpa Bhalerao, Professor at Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research and a proud “supermom,” who was instrumental in organizing the camp, along with *Ms. Garvisha, who generously provided the venue, special educators, and therapists for the event.
